2. Why is there so much uncertainty in our generation? What kinds of things are you certain of? How certain are you?

3. How can a person determine if his/her faith is the real thing?

4. Have you ever struggled with the assurance of salvation? What caused/is causing your doubt? Were/are your doubts legitimate?

5. Do you think God wants his people to be assured of their salvation? Why or why not? Can you support your answer with Scripture?

6. What are the five rock solid realities that emerge in 1 John 5:13-21?
