Times, they are changing at Christ Fellowship!
As many of you know, our Senior Pastor of fourteen years, after much thought and prayer, has accepted a new challenge and call as the Senior Pastor of Arcade Church in Sacramento, CA. We wish both Craig and Debbie our thanks and blessing as they seek to obey God’s call, though they will be sorely missed. Their ministry and impact on the ministry and lives of Christ Fellowship will not be forgotten and while they leave with clean hearts and our blessing, to be sure, it’s a transition. You can hear Pastor Craig's announcement message by visiting our sermons link.
This Fall, the Ministry Council at Christ Fellowship will be praying and planning for our next step. We believe that even as God has called the Hardingers to a new station of ministry, He is calling our fellowship to something as well. Our task is to be paying attention to God’s lead, and to that end, we ask for everyone to be praying that God’s will and His lead will be evident. The Council wants to be deliberate and careful; the ministries at Christ Fellowship will continue on and we are excited about what is coming this Fall in Youth, Children’s ministry, in our Christ Groups, and in Adult Biblical education. God has blessed us with a lot of gifted and willing people who are committed to being the presence, power and purpose of Christ where He has planted us. We continue on doing those things He has called us to, with joy. God is working!
Inevitably, there will be questions regarding specifics and updates. To that end, we encourage you to check regularly on our website for Leadership Updates, where we will strive to keep everyone in the loop as to the process and where we are in it. If you have unanswered questions, please feel free to contact any of our ministry council members – they would love to hear from you! We want to be available and as open as we can be as we go through this time of transition. Please keep in mind that some information may be sensitive and in order to preserve unity during this time, less may be more in terms of speculation. While it is human nature to guess and plot, we truly want to look to the Lord and join Him where He is working, rather than asking Him to bless where WE want to go. That is our prayer.
It is a time of great anticipation – in times like these we can either be fearful or faithful. Let’s be faithful! Stay tuned…
